About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Power Electronics Intern

In this role you will work with the hardware, embedded systems, and test teams at Redwood. You will help develop a novel power converter that is planned for deployment at our battery materials manufacturing campus. The work will consist of electronic circuit bring-up, testing, and characterization. It will also involve troubleshooting and documentation. The role is based in Carson City, NV.

Responsibilities will include:

Help develop a novel power converter that is planned for deployment at our battery materials manufacturing campus.
Electronic circuit bring-up, testing, and characterization.
Troubleshooting and documentation.

Desired Qualifications

Student in MSEE or PhD EE program.
Coursework and/or research experience in power electronics.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to execute with a calm and collaborative urgency
A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
