Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least 16 years of age.
  • The candidate must understand and follow verbal directives and written directions.
  • The candidate must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions when required.
  • The candidate must have excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with guests.
  • The candidate must work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The candidate must obtain or hold a current Food Handler’s certificate.
  • The candidate must have computer knowledge and typing skills.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate verbally, walk, climb, kneel, move around the facility, lift and carry heavy items, stoop, crawl, and operate equipment.
  • The candidate must work in prolonged stationary positions and move around the facilities for prolonged periods.
  • The candidate must bend routinely and repetitively to lift 20 pounds or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20 pounds.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests to El Paso Waterparks in a warm, friendly manner.
  • Provide guests with information about ticket and season pass purchase options and policies.
  • Initiate conversations with guests, maintain proper eye contact, and provide relevant information about attractions, park information, and special events.
  • Interact with guests on the front line and de-escalate concerns, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Implement strategic sales initiatives as trained by the Guest Service Lead, Guest Service Supervisor, or management.
  • Assist with or host birthday parties, cabana rentals, special groups, and events.
  • Handle cash and credit cards and complete end-of-day reconciliation for admissions and retail sales.
  • Care for and maintain issued equipment.
  • Participate in service training programs for safety and customer service.
  • Serve in a public information and public relations capacity.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage, loss of property, and safety concerns promptly to a supervisor.
  • Complete all required company training and compliance courses.
  • Adhere to company standards and comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Provide guests with outstanding customer service in a friendly, fun, and safe environment.
  • Maintain high standards, a positive attitude, and a professional appearance.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with other departments.
  • Stay current with all training policies and procedures.
  • Enforce El Paso Water Parks and Legends Global safety standards.
  • Follow and enforce sanitation procedures, including safety guidelines and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
  • Work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential in progress.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Experience operating a Point-of-Sale system.
