Requirements
  • A Ph.D. in biological, chemical, or physical sciences is required.
  • Experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, or structural biology laboratory work is preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of an international team is required.
  • The ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others is required.
  • The ability to use a computer and applicable software to create databases, perform statistical analyses, present data, and perform other computer-related tasks, including Microsoft Office, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, conduct, and coordinate experiments in a wet laboratory and using computers.
  • Keep detailed data records and provide regular updates to the principal investigator.
  • Summarize results for scientific and grant-oriented publications and presentations.
  • Present results at local, regional, national, and international conferences.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate students and other laboratory or technical staff involved in research.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, or structural biology laboratory work.
  • Experience with ImageJ and MATLAB.
  • Expertise in biosensors or protein design.
  • Familiarity with genetic model organisms, microscopy, and other appropriate laboratory or technical equipment.
