Requirements
  • An engineering degree or equivalent is required.
  • A strong background in the renewable energy industry, particularly in wind and photovoltaic projects, with at least 3–5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Knowledge of wind turbine generator and photovoltaic technologies, including key components, system architectures, equipment selection, current industry trends, and best practices is required.
  • Knowledge of wind and solar resource assessment methodologies, measurement campaigns, resource modeling tools, energy yield analysis, wind farm micrositing, photovoltaic plant layout optimization, and factors affecting plant performance is required.
  • Proficiency in Windnavigator and PVSyst is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, QGIS, Google Earth, and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Understanding of wind farm and photovoltaic plant execution models, including engineering, procurement, and construction, balance of plant, equipment supply, and operations and maintenance agreements is required.
  • Experience preparing and negotiating technical specifications, contracts, and technical annexes is required.
  • The ability to work autonomously with limited supervision is required.
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, anticipate challenges, identify practical solutions, and balance technical detail with commercial needs and relevant risks is required.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and their application in business environments, particularly for process optimization and decision-making, is required.
  • A category B driving license is required.
  • Fluent English at C1 level is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support across the organization for wind and photovoltaic projects throughout development, design, optimization, construction, and operation and maintenance phases.
  • Support project development and acquisition processes across electrical, civil, mechanical, and energy yield assessment disciplines.
  • Support technical due diligence activities and manage external consultants.
  • Perform energy yield assessments using industry-standard simulation tools.
  • Collaborate on conceptual and basic engineering, layout design, single-line diagram development, equipment selection, and civil works based on wind turbine generator and photovoltaic equipment specifications.
  • Optimize project layouts to maximize energy yield and project value.
  • Prepare high-level capital expenditure estimates and provide technical assumptions and inputs for financial models supporting project evaluation, development, and acquisition.
  • Engage with original equipment manufacturers, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, and technology vendors to assess technical solutions, obtain budgetary quotations, benchmark costs, and support technology selection.
  • Monitor industry developments, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions across wind, photovoltaic, storage, and hybrid renewable energy projects.
  • Support implementation and adoption of digital, data analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions for project evaluation, technical due diligence, design optimization, and engineering workflows.
  • Prepare technical specifications, employer's requirements, requests for proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Interact with and support construction and business areas and serve as the technical focal point within the area of expertise.
  • Coordinate and conduct site visits to support site evaluation.
  • Perform analyses related to curtailment, wind turbine generator and photovoltaic module performance, project risks, and other technical matters in collaboration with other functions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with WindPRO, WAsP, and PVCase is desirable.
  • Programming skills in Python for data analysis, automation, and engineering applications are desirable.
