Requirements
  • Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited radiology program or equivalent.
  • Hold American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) registration and advanced registry in computed tomography, R.T.(CT).
  • Obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Have two years of radiology experience as a registered technologist.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, professional demeanor, tact, discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
  • Perform essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment.
  • Learn current and new computer applications and office equipment used at Bozeman Health.

  • Work with bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals and medications, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging healthcare situations.
Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography examinations and procedures for the neonatal intensive care unit, coronary care unit, emergency department, and other hospital departments as requested by medical staff.
  • Assist the radiologist and other medical staff during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform ancillary duties needed to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of examinations and procedures.
  • Complete documentation required for accurate interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of examinations and procedures.
  • Retrieve written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of examinations and procedures.
  • Participate in implementing, monitoring, and improving quality indicators described in the strategic plan.
  • Work independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting.
  • Provide training and support to peers.
  • Complete all required education on time in accordance with DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
  • Operate a computed tomography scanner to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Use imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy knowledge to create high-quality images for radiologists and other medical professionals.
  • Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
  • Perform routine quality inspections and quality-control maintenance on the scanner according to manufacturer recommendations and organizational policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of previous computed tomography experience in a level I or level II trauma center.
