Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; equivalent experience is considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to interact across all levels.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Foundational math skills and comfort working with weights, distances, and monetary values are required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions is required.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills are required in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail is required.
  • Problem-solving ability is required in situations with limited standardization.
  • The role requires light physical activity and the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, handle items, work with fingers, identify colors, and communicate by phone or in person.
  • The role may require occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Track outbound loads daily and ensure system updates are accurate and timely.
  • Communicate delays to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders before 11 AM.
  • Monitor pickup schedules and investigate loads that have not departed by 10 AM.
  • Escalate operational risks and delays to Linehaul and leadership with clear context.
  • Manage driver documentation, including independent contractor paperwork, plates, International Fuel Tax Agreement materials, and compliance records.
  • Collect and route maintenance records to Safety to support compliance standards.
  • Manifest inbound and outbound freight and maintain documentation accuracy across systems.
  • File and maintain exception reports and operational records.
  • Schedule delivery appointments, including direct deliveries and diversions.
  • Coordinate redeliveries and obtain Additional Charge Request authorization.
  • Enter Additional Charge Requests into systems.
  • Partner with brokers to secure rates for non-service-point returns.
  • Trace freight and investigate shipment issues across terminals and agent networks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve delivery disruptions.
  • Identify recurring issues and escalate patterns that affect service performance.
  • Support terminals with system-related and operational inquiries.
  • Monitor printers and administrative equipment within operations.
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, imaging, and reporting.
  • Preset appointments for inbound freight and linehaul contractors.
  • Contribute to team-based operational goals and continuous improvement efforts.
Desired Qualifications
  • One to three months of relevant administrative or operations experience.
  • Familiarity with AS/400, Microsoft Office, and imaging tools.
  • Hazardous Materials Handling certification.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or terminal operations.
