Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required.
  • A minimum of 4–5 years of Problem Loan Restructuring or Administration work experience is required.
  • Solid experience in credit risk management and due diligence, including written credit risk synopses or loan portfolio reporting, is required.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management and due diligence within financial sectors is required.
  • Bilingual ability in English and Chinese is required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare accountability reports with support from the Account Management Function and FLU Account Officers.
  • Act as secretary for the LWC by facilitating meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
  • Communicate with Head Office and respond to Head Office requests.
  • Ensure the Account Management Team maintains appropriate documentation and files it in Laserfiche.
  • Respond to internal and external audits, loan reviews, regulatory examinations, and document requests.
  • Prepare or review Head Office reports with assistance from the Account Management Team and FLU Account Officers.
  • Prepare booking-related instructions for OSD.
  • Review and reconcile resolution-related requirements from Head Office, including performance evaluations and Head Office reporting.
  • Evaluate and analyze financial trends related to each borrower's assigned risk rating.
  • Analyze credit report requests, including restructuring or other exit strategies, historical and projected financial performance, management, industry, market conditions, and third-party reports.
  • Challenge analyses and recommendations where appropriate.
  • Establish a credit risk view regarding the soundness of strategy execution, creditworthiness, and conformity with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Conduct annual and quarterly reviews and periodic non-performing loan reporting as required by Bank policy.
  • Monitor market and industry trends and assess the impact of industry-specific or client-specific negative news.
  • Conduct report and committee pipeline management.
  • Provide and guide booking instructions that meet acceptable financial and regulatory standards.
  • Acquire and apply relevant credit, accounting, legal-documentation, banking-product, regulatory, industry, and market knowledge to perform the job function.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Finance or Real Estate is preferred.
  • An MBA is preferred.
  • CFA or FRM certification is preferred.
