Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED. One-year certificate from college or a technical school is preferred
  • At least 5 years of inventory control experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Warehouse Management Systems, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software, and Outlook Office software
  • Excellent math skills, and utilize sound judgment and reasoning capabilities to resolve problems
  • Effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and written, in a professional manner
  • Good computer skills to complete warehousing transactions with the ability to operate effectively within multiple software applications and inventory systems
  • Strong organization skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
  • Ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Develops and executes replenishment strategies; conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts. Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies. Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry. Responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counts to ensure materials are properly verified. Responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity both physically and within the inventory system
  • Assists on internal control process for inventory and weekly reconciliation of raw components and production supplies
  • Maintain bulk inventories and integrity of paper and electronic records without direct supervision
  • Conduct cycle counts of all bulk inventories under control of Operations on a weekly schedule
  • Receive and send bulk material and samples to and from Production and QC without direct supervision
  • Track and maintain inventory accuracy across warehousing, production, and distribution operations
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy
  • Ensure the integrity of the inventory by verifying item number, description unit of measure and bin location
  • Works with the lab to ensure the company is pulling inventory consumables timely and with correct quantities to maintain an uninterrupted workflow
  • Process and record corresponding transactions in the ERP system
  • Works collaboratively with the team to resolve any discrepancies
  • Performs weekly, monthly, quarterly, cycle counts for internal and external audit purposes
  • Works with the lab to ensure we are pulling inventory reagents timely and incorrect quantities to maintain workflow
  • Ability to backfill the receiving coordinator when that teammate is out to ensure the continuous flow of inventory
  • Identifies areas of improvement and works collaboratively with other departments to drive resolution
  • Follows Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Takes responsibility for safety in the immediate work area
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects as needed
