About The Role:

The SharkNinja EMEA Senior Copy Manager is responsible for leading the Copy & Translations Team in their mission to deliver highly effective written communications across EMEA markets, while also taking an active role in creating Marketing Copy. The team includes Copywriters to localise and develop product messaging and marketing copy, and Translation Managers to facilitate country-specific content localisation and translation. The Senior Copy Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining effective, collaborative processes to enable creative copy creation, key stakeholder approval, translation efficiency and quality, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a 12-month FTC.

What You'll Do

Team Leader: Leading an unstoppable team of Copywriters & Translation experts to support business expansion into new product categories and geo-locations, and ensuring team members are set up for success. Supporting and developing direct reports with 1:1s and continuous feedback, professional development and working together to solve challenges. Reporting out on current workloads, successes and challenges
8 direct reports: 2x Regional Copywriters, 3x Local Copywriters (French, German, Arabic), 3x Translation Project Managers
Set the Copywriting Direction: Develop the Copy Team to become Subject Matter Experts who can advise on consistent, compliant, effective messaging for their assigned product categories, supporting new and existing products across all consumer-facing touchpoints – from web copy to digital ads, print assets to video. Enable the Copy Team to develop Global messaging into clear, engaging copy that resonates for the EMEA region and individual markets, implementing CI findings and basing decisions in data. Managing and allocating the Copy Team’s workload. Reviewing copy and giving feedback in line with wider marketing direction.
Marketing Copywriting: Lead by example, writing, proofreading, editing and owning copy for selected product categories and campaigns. Able to jump in and share workload with other Regional Copywriters at peak times. Ensure live messaging remains effective, accurate and compliant. Support media plans with campaign and advertising copy.
Copy Process Development: Create and maintain effective processes and templates to enable cross-functional product copy creation, review, approval, localisation and translation, while remaining responsive to the business’s fast pace and shifting priorities. Ensure colleagues can self-serve approved product copy where appropriate, clearly communicate usage considerations, and ensure the team can respond to requests in a timely manner.
Translation Process Development: Support Translation Team in the creation and maintenance of effective working processes with our partner agencies, in-market copywriters, and internal stakeholders, to ensure high-quality content in target languages.
Be a Subject Matter Expert: Know everything there is to know about copy and translations at SharkNinja, drawing on extensive commercial writing experience. Represent the business ethos and ways of working to foster Outrageously Extraordinary results. Build cross-functional relationships with Marketing, Sales, Digital and Creative teams to gain a deeper understanding of asset requirements, usage, regulations, best practice, and other factors that impact copy requirements, to ensure all copy is developed and used in line with these standards.
Deadline & Approval Management: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting content delivery deadlines, and gaining approval from key stakeholders. Liaising with Claims and Legal teams to ensure copy complies with relevant advertising laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Brand Voice: Ensuring TOV consistency across all written communications to reinforce brand identity and recognition.
Attention to Detail: Proofreading, auditing and editing copy to ensure it is free from errors, adheres to style guidelines, and meets quality standards.
SEO: Working with SEO team to strategically target relevant keywords and incorporate best practices into copy.
