Sr. Strategic Financial Analyst

PandaDoc is in growth mode. We are seeking an experienced Financial Data Analyst who will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that help drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data trends, optimize business processes, and support PandaDoc’s transformative business strategy. This person is comfortable operating at all levels, with an eye on the strategic big picture, while skillfully managing the financial details.

In this role, you will:

• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity by identifying discrepancies, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Data Ownership: Develop and maintain SQL queries to analyze and navigate complex financial data effectively and define metrics and leading indicators of business performance
• Dashboard Creation & Maintenance: Design and implement comprehensive dashboards for real-time visibility into key metrics and system health
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams to identify data needs, establish reporting requirements, and optimize performance metrics.
• Data Modeling: Design and build data models that facilitate efficient reporting and dashboard creation
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide support for key business initiatives and decision-making processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous process improvement, standardization, simplification and reporting enhancements.

Skills Required:

• Analytical Skills: Ability to work independently, think objectively, and interpret meaningful and insightful narratives from both quantitative as well as qualitative data
• Financial and Business Acumen:  Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate as well as distill data into actionable information to drive results
• Problem Solving & Decision Quality:  Ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methods to solve multi-faceted problems with effective solutions
• Relationship Building:  Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners, inclusive of senior members of management with ability to influence at all levels
• Presentation Skills:  Effective in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small, and large groups

About you:

• 4+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst, BI Analyst or Data Analyst role, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field
• A keen analytical eye and experience building integrated models from scratch (in Excel, or other planning applications)
• Proficient in SQL for querying large datasets.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for data visualization and reporting
• Ability to translate complex concepts into simple takeaways and are not hesitant to voice your point of view
• Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills are required
• Prior experience with SalesForce.com or ERP/NetSuite a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a simple, actionable manner
