Requirements
  • Ability to work successfully in a deadline-driven environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Experience with Viewpoint or similar payroll software is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate closely with the payroll specialist team to ensure timely updates.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Apply proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
  • Process garnishment calculations and ensure compliance.
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with KeyStyle software.
  • Perform compliance activities for unclaimed-property payroll checks.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reports as needed.
  • Process manual checks and request stop payments.
  • Load payroll-related import files received from other departments for all companies.
  • Research and respond to appropriate persons regarding items requiring correction.
  • Run, review, and disburse certified payroll weekly.
  • Process MER reports and Market Recovery reporting monthly.
  • Process OCIP reporting monthly.
  • Process Intents and Affidavits for Labor and Industries weekly.
  • Process employment claims weekly.
  • Process new-hire packets weekly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Union payroll experience.
  • Construction payroll or office experience.
  • Certified payroll experience.
