Requirements
  • Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and effectively communicate with employees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement optimal courses of action.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a private club, restaurant, or hotel.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and supervise all food and beverage employees in the area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate food service between the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Enforce club rules, regulations, and policies to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Participate in and contribute to food and beverage meetings as required.
  • Communicate execution plans to the team before service begins through lineups.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards in employee service areas.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility by greeting members and staff daily.
  • Assist in planning and implementing procedures for club events.
  • Ensure the appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities.
  • Audit and approve food and beverage payroll in the area of responsibility.
  • Assist in managing inventories of food and beverage service equipment and supplies.
  • Manage the beverage program and its offerings to the membership.
  • Ensure accurate billing of food and beverage charges in the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in Club Managers Association of America education as approved by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Maintain necessary certifications such as ServSafe, TIPS, and Basic First Aid.
  • Participate in training programs as required by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Uphold high standards of conduct and character while serving the best interests of members.
  • Perform duties objectively, with due diligence and professional care, in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A four-year degree in hospitality is preferred.
  • ServSafe and TIPS certification is a plus.
