- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- At least 5 years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.
- A TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph is required.
- Experience with PostgreSQL administration and tuning, including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions.
- Experience monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts.
- Experience with database backup, restore, migration, and database snapshot technologies or strategies.
- Knowledge of building and maintaining efficient database table structures for transactional and warehouse data.
- Knowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning.
- Migration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.
- Maintain database integrity and security, configure role-based access control, and set up administrative accounts.
- Set up administrator and service accounts.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures.
- Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
- Provide advice on performance tuning and training to end users.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Evaluate open-source or vendor tools and participate in database migration and special modernization projects.
- Collaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
- CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent certification is recommended.
- Oracle database administration experience is a plus.
