  • A professional accounting qualification, and at least 10 year’s PQE
  • Experience of working in Big 4 and/or listed multinational experience
  • Progressive growth in previous roles, demonstrating accountability and ownership
  • Proven experience of building and retaining high-performing teams
  • Significant experience in corporate reporting and technical accounting
  • Experience of SBP employee programmes would be helpful
  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience working within a SOX control environment
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Possesses a positive, can-do attitude and demonstrates creative thinking
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures in a dynamic international setting
  • Previous experience with Workday Financials is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 12 encouraging a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, process excellence and self-driven growth and development
  • Develop and empower direct & indirect reports, driving up skills levels and providing attractive career development opportunities
  • Be a role model for our values, set a standard for others to seek to, support our people and get the best out of our colleagues within finance and across the organization
  • Champion unity and collaboration among the Global reporting teams to implement streamlined processes, facilitate knowledge sharing, and provide development opportunities for team members
  • Ownership and accountability to set the strategic direction of the Skyscanner Reporting & Accounting function
  • Ensure compliance with global applicable technical standards whilst seeking opportunities for efficiency
  • Ensure accuracy and excellence in share-based payment charges, processes, and forecasts, driving streamlined operations and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Identify and implement scalable processes and procedures (including month-end processes and related internal controls) across the Group Finance function
  • Ultimately accountability of the statutory accounts process for the Group, including the consolidated Accounts
  • Identify Workday functionality to optimize efficiency and accuracy of the annual statutory reporting process
  • Continuously enhance the Group financial reporting control environment by implementing initiatives to mature controls, ensuring the global finance function achieves best-in-class compliance of SOX requirements
  • Present the Group monthly balance sheet review to the Group Financial Controller and CFO
  • Provide strategic direction in UK balance sheet reconciliations
  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging Workday Finance to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with the Finance Systems Manager and Transformation Director to identify transformation opportunities, delivering Group-wide finance transformation and ad-hoc projects to support the global finance team and broader business strategy
  • Nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate across all finance teams to deliver enhanced value to the finance leadership team, broader business, and executive management group. Act as an enabler for the company to achieve its strategic and financial goals
