Requirements
  • A minimum of six years of experience in catering sales, weddings, food and beverage, or a related professional area is required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality, Catering/Event Sales and Marketing, or a related major is required; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Four years of leadership experience in wedding/event management in a resort or hotel setting is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with hotel sales and catering computer systems is preferred.
  • Excellent time management, customer service, organizational, analytical, project management, financial management, and business management skills are required.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines is required.
  • Mature personal discretion, sound judgment, strong leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, and the ability to effectively lead managers are required.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts and a professional appearance and demeanor are required.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the hotel's social event and wedding business while maximizing event space to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Pursue leads and existing accounts through sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.
  • Pursue new business locally and nationally, including visiting new offices.
  • Direct the performance of the entire Catering team to achieve sales and performance objectives.
  • Coordinate local marketing efforts by attending trade shows, wedding shows, community events, and industry meetings, and supporting marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
  • Establish account information, call on major contacts, and continually promote the property.
  • Negotiate, sell, and secure social event and wedding agreements with clients.
  • Prepare agreements, reports, and other paperwork related to the Catering department.
  • Communicate social event and wedding agreements to other departments to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct hotel and banquet-facility tours and entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional image, respond promptly to guest requests, and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate regularly with wedding planners, social contacts, vendors, and other industry support to ensure contract fulfillment.
  • Maximize the use of appropriate available hotel space to generate food and beverage revenues.
  • Provide innovative setups, menus, tasting facilitation, and functions for groups.
  • Drive customer and guest loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each experience.
  • Partner with clients through the planning and execution phases of functions and manage food and beverage selections and function details with assistance from the Catering/Wedding Assistant Manager.
  • Provide accurate information to all departments, including Banquet Event Orders, resumes, internal communications, documentation of changes, and special requests.
  • Develop an effective communication and information system with all departments to disseminate details of upcoming weddings and social events and support event execution.
  • Review event bills for accuracy.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events can be improved.
  • Evaluate new programs, services, and ideas using discretion and independent judgment.
  • Create, support, and present departmental goals to executive leadership in alignment with property goals.
  • Stay current with new technology for the hotel industry.
  • Review, implement, and refine procedures to enrich the guest experience while maintaining luxury service standards.
  • Seek guest feedback and liaise with other departments to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience.
  • Manage guest requests, own complaints, resolve issues promptly, and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Convention Sales & Services, Facilities, Security, Front Services, Front Office, Food and Beverage, and Executive Offices.
  • Foster a management team focused on guest service, team-member relations, cooperation, financial responsibility, and asset management.
  • Complete performance evaluations for the Catering team.
  • Ensure accounting, payroll, and team-member relations matters comply with company policy.
  • Perform other functions as needed.

Pyramid Global Hospitality appoints senior leaders across finance, operations and luxury hospitality

Pyramid Global Hospitality has appointed several senior leaders to strengthen its expertise across finance, operations, luxury hospitality, and food and beverage. The US-based hospitality management company, which operates over 200 properties across the US, Caribbean, and Europe, named Chris Dunne as chief financial officer. Dunne brings three decades of experience from roles at Atrium Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts. Jenny Zhang joined as corporate vice president of luxury operations, bringing international experience from The Ascott Limited. Thomas Pavlik and Chad Heilesen were promoted to vice presidents of operations for the Benchmark Resorts & Hotels portfolio. Bill McKinney was appointed corporate director of food and beverage, having previously led operations for over 45 hotels in IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio.

July 1, 2026 BOSTON, Massachusetts - Pyramid Global Hospitality announced that Naples Bay Resort & Marina in Naples, Florida, has joined its independent collection, Benchmark Resorts & Hotels. Beginning today, Pyramid Global Hospitality will oversee the day-to-day operations of Naples Bay's 85 guestrooms and suites, as well as its residential-style cottages; a 97-slip full-service marina; 31,000 square feet of retail space; three food and beverage venues; nearly 15,000 square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space; and the private Naples Bay Club that includes three pools, a lazy river, an adult-only swim and relaxation area, a full-service spa, a 2,500 square-foot fitness center, a TopGolf Swing Suite, and a six-court tennis center. "Naples Bay Resort & Marina is a great example of a property benefiting from committed associates and a tailored operational approach," said Warren Fields, Pyramid Global Hospitality's chief executive officer. "Independent properties succeed when they can maintain a clear sense of identity while leveraging sophisticated operational and commercial expertise. June 11, 2026 WISCONSIN DELLS, WIS. - Pyramid Global Hospitality has opened Dellshire Resort, a 208-room property in Wisconsin Dells within south central Wisconsin. The hotel marks the area's first new-build resort in more than two decades, according to Pyramid. The medieval-themed property features guestrooms and suites as well as Serpent's Bay, an indoor-outdoor aquatic complex with five pool and splash experiences, including an adults-only swim-up bar. The tavern-style Blade & Barrel anchors the five food-and-beverage outlets. Hero's Hall features arcade games and a private party room, while dedicated meeting and event facilities are available for groups and corporate retreats. A 70-foot-long fire-breathing dragon named Golspar welcomes guests at the entrance. Las Vegas-based metal sculptor Kevin Stone created the nearly 17,000-pound structure. The two-story entrance to the property is framed by cathedral-style windows. A compass is inlaid into the lobby floor, and shields are displayed across the stone walls to pay homage to the characters of the Legends of Dellshire Mixed Reality Adventure, the resort's signature attraction. Dellshire Resort is part of Benchmark Resorts & Hotels, a collection of independent resorts and hotels by Pyramid. Rooms start at $200 per night.
