Requirements
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required for new graduate registered nurses.
  • New graduate registered nurses must have past licensed practical nurse experience or experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experienced registered nurses must have an Associate Degree in Nursing plus five years of clinical experience in medical/surgery, emergency, or telemetry, or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing plus three years of such clinical experience.
  • Registered nurse licensure in one state of operation upon hire and licensure in all three states of operation within one year of appointment are required, subject to department discretion.
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • The position requires on-call shifts.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all therapeutic or cellular apheresis procedures independently on adult and pediatric populations in a mobile setting according to standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Identify required criteria, obtain consent, perform patient physical assessments, and complete documentation.
  • Provide care and follow-up instructions related to access and report abnormal findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Administer blood products and medications during procedures according to physician orders, including calculating and reconstituting procedure-related medication.
  • Complete all required forms and electronic records.
  • Operate procedure-related equipment, troubleshoot alarms, and report abnormal findings.
  • Maintain inventory of supply needs and assist with on-site par levels.
  • Travel to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
