Fidelity International has launched its London Bond Strategy with £40 million from the London Borough of Bromley Pension Fund. The investment-grade credit solution allows London borough pension schemes to invest in organisations contributing to the capital's economy. At least 80% of the portfolio will be invested in investment-grade issuers supporting London's infrastructure and economic activity. The strategy focuses on two categories: Core London Assets, which support essential infrastructure, and London Economic Anchors, major employers contributing to economic activity. The launch responds to policymakers encouraging pension schemes to support UK economic growth. Ian Fishwick manages the strategy within Fidelity's sterling credit platform, which is part of a global fixed income team overseeing around $100 billion.
