Requirements
  • 3+ years working in the healthcare industry; pharmaceutical experience a plus
  • B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or Cancer Genetics, or related field a plus; PhD or MBA a plus
  • Customer-facing experience, especially in a consulting capacity
  • Demonstrates curiosity and communicates effectively through multiple channels
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Maintains a high level of productivity; is organized and able to balance competing priorities with proven ability to work autonomously
Responsibilities
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to prospectively identify data-driven Study opportunities and collaborate with internal translational research teams to further diligence hypotheses
  • Manage and lead deals for biopharma-Studies partnerships; owning the development of proposals and SOWs from identification of customer needs to presentation of customer-ready feasibilities, proposals, and contracts in partnership with leadership
  • Work with Tempus' business development teams to develop partnership opportunities with our key biopharma accounts and drive client conversations forward
  • Collaborate with the Studies leadership team to set our BU strategy and develop our products aligned to our commercial and business goals
  • Identify value creation opportunities with biopharma partners that supports the consideration of the full Tempus platform and fuels the launch of new partnerships
  • Build and lead initiatives that help improve sales efficacy, spanning pricing, buyer journeys, contracting, and more
  • Perform regular business reviews to assess pipeline progress against plans
  • Conduct market intelligence and due diligence to understand competitive offerings and pricing models
  • Lead the development and rollout of new Commercial services to Pharma customers; lead the internal alignment of operations with various Studies and broader Tempus teams; build out go-to-market plans, conduct outreach with business development teams and facilitate feedback sessions with customers/users of the services to support product iteration
