Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • At least 5 years of product management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution of strategic priorities using Agile practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use hard data and metrics to support assumptions, recommendations, and actions.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and risks, determine plausible courses of action, and execute effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Execute card product strategies to drive new account acquisition and optimize portfolio performance, including account activation, usage, balance growth, and retention.
  • Develop advanced card product knowledge to address complex problems and support strategic, longer-range projects and product development assignments.
  • Support management in building business cases for risks and opportunities and manage solution implementation to increase spend, balance growth, revenue, and profitability.
  • Monitor day-to-day key performance indicators and identify trends and patterns, escalating issues to management as appropriate.
  • Coordinate interested parties, including Information Technology, Phone Bank, Credit Administration, Enterprise Risk, Operations, Retail Branches, Underwriting, Collections, Legal, Compliance, and vendors, to ensure effective implementation and understanding throughout the bank.
  • Implement effective controls and processes to measure, monitor, and control risks and ensure ongoing adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained, provided with appropriate resources, and motivated to follow risk management principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Huntington Bank appoints Ameesh Vakharia as chief marketing and digital products officer

Huntington Bank has appointed Ameesh Vakharia as executive vice president and chief marketing and digital products officer. In this newly created role, Vakharia will lead an integrated organisation combining brand, marketing and digital product management to strengthen customer experiences across digital and physical channels. Vakharia brings over 20 years of leadership experience. He previously served as executive vice president and chief strategy and brand officer at USAA, where he led enterprise strategy, innovation, digital, marketing and membership growth. Before that, he held senior positions at Truist and SunTrust. The appointment follows organisational changes at Huntington, with Vijay Konduru now heading business innovation and AI products, and Mark Sheehan leading digital assets. Huntington Bank opens first Mount Pleasant branch, expanding South Carolina network to five locations

Huntington Bank has opened its first branch in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, expanding its presence in the state to five full-service locations. The newly built branch at 3149 N. Highway 17 is part of Huntington's plan to open approximately 55 branches across North and South Carolina. The Mount Pleasant location offers full banking services, drive-thru teller lanes, and a drive-up ATM. The opening follows last month's Summerville branch launch and builds on Huntington's growing Lowcountry presence, which includes locations in Charleston, Greenville, and Spartanburg.
