Requirements
  • A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and building security controls to support large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed services.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise in Cloud Security, Kubernetes security, application security, and performing security code reviews.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
  • Proficiency in various monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch etc.
Responsibilities
  • Engage actively with product engineering teams to conduct detailed security reviews of new services and features being developed.
  • Utilize threat modeling techniques to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Design security controls to mitigate all identified risks.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of the identified security controls.
  • Assess security issues flagged by diverse scanning tools and guide product engineering teams on the identified risks and the mitigation plan.
  • Perform code reviews to identify security issues and work with engineers to address these issues.
  • Design and implement cloud security controls to secure the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes cluster, and services that run on it.
  • Monitor the infrastructure and services to alert on security events.
  • Develop tooling to automate the remediation of security events.
  • Collaborate between multiple business units, vendors, and engineer teams on security and compliance certifications such as PCI, SOC2, etc.
