Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of partner-led solutions, capabilities, and practices aligned to Splunk and Cisco priorities.
  • Analyze partner customer bases, market positioning, and go-to-market focus to identify high-value use cases and business outcomes.
  • Co-develop solutions addressing customer problems across security, observability, and platform domains.
  • Support partners in building repeatable, scalable offerings and establishing or evolving billable services and practices.
  • Drive industrialization of partner capabilities from one-off delivery to repeatable go-to-market motions.
  • Partner with Partner Sales Managers and Partner Development Managers to align solutions with regional priorities and revenue goals.
  • Own end-to-end competency development and growth planning across managed partners in the region or territory.
  • Deliver technical enablement, coaching, and hands-on workshops across Splunk domains.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and validate partner-designed solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance during late-stage customer pursuits when needed.
  • Plan badge and certification achievements and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly business updates.
  • Create and grow a regional community of partner technical practitioners through enablement sessions, workshops, roundtables, forums, knowledge sharing, and solution showcases.
  • Identify and develop partner technical champions to support community-led growth.
  • Identify, shape, and advance partner-influenced opportunities across security, observability, and platform use cases.
  • Run structured technical discovery to improve opportunity qualification and accelerate time to value.
  • Coach partner pre-sales teams on architectures, proposals, and proofs of value.
  • Track opportunity progression and remove technical blockers in high-priority deals.
  • Align with Partner Account Managers on quarterly pipeline goals, execution plans, and opportunity qualification.
  • Own the creation, development, and consistent updating of Partner Intelligence technical scorecards and plans.
  • Own the creation, development, and execution of Partner Plans aligned with the regional go-to-market strategy.
  • Act as the technical bridge between Cisco internal teams and partner technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency with Splunk and Cisco go-to-market messaging and architectural guidance.
  • Drive growth in partner-led revenue and services attach through developed solutions.
  • Increase adoption of partner-built solutions across target customers and use cases.
  • Contribute to customer outcomes, retention, and expansion through partners.
  • Improve technical qualification and deal velocity.
  • Increase engagement, sharing, adoption, self-sufficiency, and delivery capability within the partner technical community.
  • Develop repeatable partner solutions and propositions and take them to market.
  • Grow partner practices and their ability to deliver, monetize, and scale services.
  • Improve adoption, quality, consistency, and reusability of Splunk and Cisco architectures and partner-delivered solutions.
  • Execute joint Partner Technical Manager, Partner Sales Manager, and Partner Development Manager plans aligned to regional priorities.
  • Maintain high-quality technical intelligence, documentation, governance, and outcome-driven reporting.
  • Work 48 hours per week.

Cisco acquires Galileo to strengthen Splunk's AI observability capabilities

Cisco is acquiring Galileo, an AI observability specialist, to strengthen Splunk's position in the AI monitoring market. The deal is expected to close in July 2026. Galileo provides tools to evaluate AI output quality, detect errors before they reach users, and improve AI agent behaviour in production. The platform monitors hallucinations, bias, security risks and cost metrics across the entire agent development lifecycle, offering real-time observability for multi-agent systems. The acquisition will integrate Galileo into Splunk Observability Cloud, expanding existing AI agent monitoring capabilities. Galileo offers over 20 evaluation metrics including hallucination detection and supports major AI platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock. Cisco and Galileo previously collaborated on Cisco's AGNTCY initiative. Both companies will operate independently until the deal closes.

Cisco appoints former Deloitte executive Pete Shimer to board of directors
