  • Capable of managing projects and deadlines effectively and independently.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, passion for storytelling, and the ability to make complex data easy to understand.
  • Proficiency with Google’s suite products (Google Sheets, Google Slides).
  • Experience in the market research industry, in-house or agency-side.
  • Experience of conducting research and managing research teams in B2B markets, ideally within the media, news, information & data sectors.
Responsibilities
  • Undertake customer and market research covering end-to-end propositions design, from market analysis, to working directly with C&MR team members to support business and proposition leaders on business case development.
  • Assists the C&MR team to represent the voice of the customer at senior leadership level to ensure that customer and market intelligence is at the heart of decision-making on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop strong working relationships within the C&MR team and other functions at all levels across the business in order to deliver tailored and relevant insights.
  • Deliver customer and market research projects, from actively participating in briefing sessions, to research design, through to execution, such as customer recruitment, managing fieldwork, reporting fieldwork and project progress, performing QA, undertaking analysis and reporting – whether independently or as part of a working group, drawing on a wide set of research and analytics methodologies.
  • Undertake ‘desk’ research in a thorough way and ensure insights are appropriately synthesized.
  • Liaise with external partners, such as research agencies or research tool providers, to ensure work/services delivered are world-class, in line with internal standards, and delivering value for money for Dow Jones.
  • Support the Customer & Market Research team lead with workflow / workload planning and budget management.
