QuoteWell is a Series A startup on a mission to transform the commercial insurance landscape, historically governed by inefficient manual processes and poorly-designed tech. We are a small team with deep experience in tech, product, and insurance. We are supported by seasoned advisors and investors with extensive experience across insurtech / fintech. The Role

We are seeking independent contractors with an eye for detail and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment to support projects in product development and business operations.

This is a short-term contract position (contract term of 6 months minimum with possible extension - $25-30/hr, depending on experience). The role requires working onsite from our downtown Austin office Monday through Friday at 40 hours per week on a standard 9-5 schedule - cost of parking is covered by QuoteWell. No relocation or remote/hybrid working is available for this role due to the confidential nature of some of the data utilized.

What you’ll do

Work independently to process information in our proprietary internal systems.
Provide feedback and suggestions for process and tool improvement while learning from a team of specialists and analysts
Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
Be flexible as priorities shift and tooling evolves, adapting to new processes for the work as needed.

What you’ll need

Experience in following established procedures, maintaining documentation such as record-keeping, budget and cost-tracking, inventory-tracking, developing documentation.
Demonstrated experience working independently while maintaining excellent quality in daily operational work.
Experience in decision making, organizing, and prioritizing tasks, and taking initiative.
Record of dependability and reliability as proven through good attendance and quality of work.
Experience working effectively under pressure of deadlines, interruptions, and changing priorities, and the ability to follow multiple tasks to completion.
Ability to learn and execute processes and tools as they change.
Bonus points for experience in the commercial insurance or startup industry.
