JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Entomology in the College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking applicants for a part-time position for the fall 2025 semester to assist with curation and identification of arthropod specimens received and collected by the Insect Identification Lab.
Job duties to include:
- Curate arthropod samples, including pinning or pointing specimens as appropriate, preserving in ethanol, and labelling
- Identify curated specimens to the family-, genus-, or species-level
- Database specimens following Darwin Core standards
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- Interest in insect biodiversity and museum collections
- Microsoft Excel
- Prior study of insect biodiversity preferred but not required
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $15/hour.
