What does an exceptional Enterprise Architect do?

We’re looking for a Solutions Leader to join our software development organization. You will help modernize the design and development of Client’s Treasure flagship. Seeking a Leader to manage software and architectural design discussions, collaborate with developers to implement requirements to code, drive product architects for system integrations and feasibility studies, while solving the most complex software topics. You will create high performance applications using Spring Boot and leverage modern streaming and cloud architectures in a fast-paced result-oriented environment. This role requires advanced technical skillset in depth and an ability to effectively communicate across both application development and product teams. The ideal candidate possesses a good blend of business and technical aptitude, is heavily hands on and has a strong need to learn new things as well as research customer insights, trends and business challenges.

As an Enterprise Architect, you can look forward to:

• Collaborating on design and development of micro services cloud platform roadmap.
• Partnering with product owners to provide technical insight and guidance into the product roadmap.
• Establishing software design approaches, standards and overseeing product adherence of best practices.
• Bringing awareness to micro services-based architecture, promoting modern and mature practices.
• Preparing and reviewing technical designs, code reviews, and delivery of high-quality architecture.
• Partnering with scrum teams to promote DevOps as a culture driving improvements through CI/CD processes.
• Configuring and documenting the software, hardware and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives.
• Sharing knowledge of the latest software development trends in software cloud automation, techniques, tools, and best practices.
• Accessing risks based on product complexity, resource and/or timeline constraints.
• Mentoring technical staff during projects to ensure continuous improvement.
• Providing inspiration and guidance to the growing team; foster a culture of transparency, collaboration and innovation.
• Establishing department standards and procedures, recommending efficient ways to ensure the best implementation practices of new or upgraded products.
• Display strong verbal and written communication, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.

Basic qualifications for consideration: 

• Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of software development experience.
• 10 years of hands-on experience in Java Development
• Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, etc.)
• Exposure to administering & consuming cloud platforms. Preferable Azure
• Experience of Restful APIs, API gateways, preferable Apigee.
• Experience in software architecture, design, development, networking, virtualized platforms (cloud), and distributed systems (SOA & Microservices).
• Experience developing in high performance applications using multi-threading and pooling.
• Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integrations and delivery concepts, experience with GitLab, Jenkins and / or Concourse 

Preferred Qualifications for consideration:

• TOGAF or SEI – Software Architecture Certification
• Building distributed, service oriented, microservices-style and cloud-based application architectures.
• Automation testing, mock frameworks, virtual services and performance testing
• Containerization with applications deployed on Docker or Kubernetes.
• Related banking industry experience in platforms, banking applications, or online financial solutions.
