  • An unrestricted Illinois medical license is required before the start date.
  • Board certification or board eligibility from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery is required.
  • An M.D., D.O., or professional equivalent degree is required.
  • The ability and willingness to perform shoulder cases is required.
  • Competence in delivering healthcare services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • The physician must maintain a state Controlled Substance license and a Federal DEA license when applicable to the specialty.
  • The candidate must have successfully completed, or be in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • HSHS requires a COVID-19 vaccine or an approved medical or religious exemption.
Responsibilities
  • Provide orthopedic surgical and healthcare services.
  • Participate in a Monday through Friday clinic schedule, with an option for a four-day work week.
  • Participate in seven days of call per month.
  • Provide minimal after-hours clinic call.
  • Perform surgical cases using available robotics when appropriate.
