We are seeking a Manager, Market Efficiency to lead a team focused on real-time order management and response. You will also work with cross-functional partners to create new tooling and processes. As a member of the Market Optimization & Efficiency team within Shipt, you will play a key role in scaling marketplace levers and centralized processes to maximize value and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Directly and indirectly lead a team of up to 16 Operations Specialists, Senior Specialists, and Associate Manager(s). This is a workforce with both exempt and non-exempt employees.

• Oversee daily team performance, focus on professional growth, and manage performance evaluations.

• Analyze demand and weather forecasts, collaborating with Operations to fine-tune supply settings for optimal reliability and financial outcomes.

• Work with Operations, Product, and Data Science teams to introduce new tools enhancing our service for Members, Shoppers, and Retailers.

Requirements

• Background: 5+ years experience in operations, analytical, and/or managerial roles.

• Leadership: 2+ years experience managing non-exempt employees.

• Technical skills: data-driven with advanced proficiency in Excel/GSheets, Tableau, and SQL (or willingness to learn).

• Project management: experience leading complex projects with quantifiable results.

• Flexibility: as needed, must be available to work nights/weekends.

Work Arrangement:

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.
