  • Epic Beaker AP or CP certification is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical processes is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Laboratory Information Systems is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Epic Beaker CP and/or AP experience is required, including build, implementation, support, and hands-on end-user experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical standards, documentation methods, and existing practices is required.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and aptitude related to computer activities are required.
  • Ability to understand laboratory-related computer applications and learn and apply new applications and programs is required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team is required.
  • Ability to work safely around infectious biological specimens, caustics, toxic chemicals, and irritants is required.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 is required.
  • Ability to work remotely is required.
Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with clients to plan, install, implement, and maintain hardware and software solutions.
  • Design, manage, and oversee projects and tasks for clients.
  • Configure, build, document, test, modify, and maintain software applications.
  • Proactively troubleshoot problems and determine the best course of action to meet client and customer needs.
  • Work with end users to troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct application problems by identifying hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with the client’s technical team to maintain process continuity.
  • Conduct system enhancements, new-feature builds, upgrades, quarterly updates, and optimizations.
  • Analyze business requirements, translate them into system requirements, and revise system logic as necessary.
  • Perform system customizations, including alerts and hard stops, data integration, order generation, document-entry automation, and workflow adherence enforcement.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality for all activities and information accessed.
  • Participate in developing tools and training for end-user competencies.
  • Plan and test clinical upgrades, patches, and enhancements before applying them in the production environment.
  • Establish concise ad hoc reports.
  • Determine project priorities based on client needs and adjust priorities with the Chief Services Officer and clients.
  • Perform or oversee ongoing maintenance of information systems and interfaces, as well as client support activities.
  • Provide technical support to clients.
  • Provide information systems training to clients.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and client staff.
  • Complete other tasks and projects assigned by the CEO or Chief Services Officer.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A Medical Technologist Degree, such as MT, MLT, or MLS, is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of Data Innovations Instrument Manager experience, including Rules, is preferred.
