Requirements
  • Proven track record as a product leader in enterprise software
  • Seven years or more of experience in the product management function
  • Five years or more of experience with enterprise software
  • Five years or more managing a team of direct reports
  • Extensive experience with one or more of the following: Enterprise SaaS solutions, Lab informatics software, Data analytics platform
  • Ability to understand and communicate architectural requirements, preferences, and limitations
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and formal presentation
  • Must be based in the Central or Eastern time zone and willing to travel approximately one week per quarter to Veeva HQ in Pleasanton, CA
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar technical field
Responsibilities
  • Define rolling four and twelve-month road maps that incorporate executive priorities, the needs of Vault applications, and customer feedback
  • Discover opportunities to innovate, keep up with the Life Sciences industry and regulatory trends, and distill them into product requirements
  • Cultivate and own the roadmap for your product, set the product vision, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and customers
  • Collaborate with other Veeva executives and engineering architects on high-level designs for product features
  • Coach a team of product managers on the ongoing production and refinement of requirements documents and other deliverables
  • Identify cross-team dependencies and facilitate necessary resource tradeoffs to maximize the value of each release
  • Ensure the successful resolution of product issues identified by field organizations
  • Articulate the benefits of new features and the future direction of the platform to customers and partners
  • Evangelize products and become the subject matter expert for internal audiences, external customers, and market-facing communications
  • Be a role model for the company culture
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Diagnostics products in the Quality, Labs, or Manufacturing space
  • Understanding and experience with one or more Federal Regulations (21CFR part 11, 21 CFR part 820)
  • Life Sciences or other Regulated Software, Pharma Quality Control solutions, Lab or Manufacturing execution systems
  • Prior hands-on development experience
