Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support required, either a certification from an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking; ability to climb stairs; ability to work indoors and outdoors; ability to work from elevated areas; ability to work in confined or cramped spaces; ability to bend at the waist and twist at the waist; ability to kneel and squat; ability to perform pinching, fine and gross motor movements; ability to reach in all directions; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted; ability to lift from 36 inches to overhead 25 pounds; ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; good vision and hearing with correction; ability to deal effectively with stressful situations; ability to work rotating shifts and overtime; ability to work in a latex safe environment; maintain tactile sensory functions; selected positions require ability to maintain olfactory sensory function; ability to be qualified physically for respirator use.
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient clinical care for employment related services at Employee Health Services.
  • Provide pre-employment health screenings, injury and exposure related care, fast hire events, vaccine administrations, phlebotomy, and drug testing.
