Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Engineering drawings
  • GD&T experience including working knowledge of ASME Y14.5
  • At least 2 years of experience performing measurements using applicable equipment
  • Experienced with laser tracker usage and associated software, plus standard hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gage blocks
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and/or web-based software
  • Basic and/or Advanced training or knowledge of measurement software
  • Attention to detail
Responsibilities
  • Interpret technical documents and develop a dimensional inspection plan
  • Perform dimensional inspection on aircraft structures to determine locations of assembled components
  • Perform First Article Inspections as required per AS9100 and FAA Part 21
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and design engineers regarding inspection results
  • Complete the required documentation
  • Maintain measuring equipment and replace component hardware as needed
  • Maintain a clean work environment, and comply with safety requirements
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
