Requirements
  • The candidate must be a certified basketball official with prior experience officiating league or competitive games.

  • The candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to work Monday evenings from 1700 to 1900.
Responsibilities
  • Officiate all scheduled regulation and tournament basketball games in accordance with standard rules and Defense Supply Center Columbus league guidelines.
  • Arrive at least 10 minutes before each scheduled game and conduct a brief five-minute instructional session for participants unfamiliar with league play.
  • Explain the game format, rules, and safety protocols prior to game start.
  • Maintain control of the game, ensuring safe, fair, and sportsmanlike play.
  • Wear professional officiating attire and provide a personal whistle and uniform.
  • Report all official game results to the Defense Supply Center Columbus Fitness Center following each event.
  • Attend the mandatory pre-season league meeting to review rules, scheduling, and seasonal updates.
  • Contact the Defense Supply Center Columbus Fitness Center at least four hours prior to the first match to confirm schedule updates or cancellations.
  • Notify the Defense Supply Center Columbus of any emergency or non-performance issues in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain Real ID compliance to access the installation.
