Data Architect, Senior

With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a Senior Data Architect, you will manage and analyze data using your strong analytical skills, experience with data management tools, and solid understanding of data governance principles.
Working in a client-facing environment, you will work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact.
How You’ll Contribute:
As a Senior Data Architect on our team, you will:
Develop data models that best address the needs of multiple client requirements.
Create and support data documentation, including data dictionaries and data flow diagrams.
Collaborate with project stakeholders and data providers to understand data requirements and provide data solutions.
Monitor data quality and implement data validation and cleansing processes.
Draft data usage agreements and clean and schedule transfers of data from various sources to support business operations and decision-making.
Develop and support data management processes and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
Assist in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and policies.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data modeling, management, and analytics.
You Have:
Experience in developing data models and data pipeline processes
Experience converting data into various formats and preserving meaning
Experience in relational and dimensional modeling techniques, organizing, and structuring
Experience in data governance principles and data security best practices
Experience with classified, collateral, and OSINT data sources and querying functionalities
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies
Ability to demonstrate accountability for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches client technical and functional requirements and commits to client success
Ability to communicate technical information and recommendations to peers, engineers, and analytic consumers
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience in data analysis or Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in data analysis
Nice If You Have:
Experience with programming languages, such as Python
Experience with CAMEO and Niagara Files (NiFi)
Experience with data management platforms
Experience in creating organizational data strategies
Experience applying Agile methodologies, such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
Knowledge of Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to drive operational improvements through data analytics
Master’s degree in Information Systems or a Data
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
