Lead Accountant @ Two Six Technologies

Two Six Technologies is growing and we are seeking a Lead Accountant with experience working in the government contracting industry. You will be the main point of contact supporting audits and taxes, general ledger, and assist with the purchasing system integration.

This position is fully remote with some travel to the Arlington, VA headquarters office as needed. Preference will be given to candidates located on the East Coast.

What you will do:

Tax & Audit - main POC supporting audits and tax filings and requests
General Ledger - responsible for the month-end close process. Primary areas of focus are fixed assets, lease accounting, R&D capitalization, tax, and payroll account reconciliations.
Work with the accounting department ensuring accurate and timely financial information. Review and evaluate reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.

What you will need:

5+ years experience in accounting ideally working in the Government Contracting industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and additional experience
5+ years working with accounting software, such as Unanet or Deltek
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Understanding of corporate federal and state tax requirements
Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and research new topics

What we would like:

2+ years of Accounting for a Government Contracting company
Experience with Unanet and/or Arriba
Experience with implementing new software
