(ABC 4) - After a community open house on May 7, Mary Free Bed celebrated the opening of its fifth outpatient location in the Grand Rapids area. This new location at 4020 East Beltline Avenue NE, called Mary Free Bed East Beltline Northeast, offers comprehensive rehabilitation and outpatient services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, orthotics, prosthetics and bionics. "Expanding into the northeast side of Grand Rapids allows us to meet people where they are," said Megan Jabin, site lead for Mary Free Bed East Beltline Northeast, in a statement. "We know how important convenience is during recovery. Published May 14, 2026 at 6:27 AM EDT Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is expanding its footprint in West Michigan with a new outpatient facility now open north of Grand Rapids. Mary Free Bed - East Beltline Northeast is situated to improve access to specialized care for residents in the northeast Grand Rapids area, Rockford and surrounding communities. Occupational therapist Megan Jabin is the site lead. "We had a ton of need with patients living out in this area and then further north that just really weren't wanting to go downtown because of traffic and construction and some other accessibility issues. And so offering this location out here kept them within the Mary Free Bed system." The center is divided into two specialized areas to streamline patient care. The Therapy Suite provides physical, occupational and speech therapy. The O &P Suite is dedicated to orthotics, prosthetics and bionics. The team offers personalized rehabilitation for recovery from injuries or chronic conditions, specialized care for balance, limb loss and sport injuries as well as treatment for speech or swallowing disorders and chronic pain. The facility is Mary Free Bed's fifth outpatient location in the region.
