Requirements
  • Degree in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Fluent in modern C++ (11/14/17) software development in a Linux environment
  • Prior industrial experience deploying robots/self-driving vehicles in production
  • Experience with robotics, motion planning and/or control
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills
Responsibilities
  • Explore the new operational design domains (ODD) that are required to deploy the existing autonomy system in new cities
  • Develop tools in C++ and Python and integrate them in the planning & control stack to define and analyze ODDs in new cities at scale
  • Deploy the autonomy system in new cities with a focus on planning and control behavior
  • Work together with the planning and control teams to resolve critical deployment issues in new cities under the existing ODDs
  • Define and develop autonomy performance metrics and tools that can measure the deployment progress in new cities
  • Support the design of long-term solutions to handle the new ODDs with the planning and control teams
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Python is a plus
  • Familiarity with data analysis
  • Familiarity with one of the following systems (prediction/perception/localization)
