Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting, including a minimum of 10 years of experience in project management.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A Professional Engineering License or Professional Geologist credential is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal environmental regulations, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Act 2, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, and the Clean Water Act.
  • Thorough understanding of environmental site assessment and remediation, including the ability to interpret data, communicate findings from site assessment activities to clients, and make recommendations relevant to project objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, budgeting, performing cost control, and achieving deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising technical staff.
  • Experience developing proposals, including scopes of service, budgets, and schedules, and managing projects safely and efficiently.
  • Participation in client- and professional-development-based organizations.
  • Established clients or contacts in the real estate, oil and gas, mining, power, public sector, waste management, or manufacturing markets.
  • Demonstrated business development and client management experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage current clients and develop new business.
  • Manage project teams providing environmental assessments, subsurface investigations, soil and water remediation projects, and environmental permitting and compliance services.
  • Provide senior direction on projects for real estate, manufacturing, public sector, oil and gas, electric power generation and transmission, and waste management clients.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews of work products produced by others.
  • Develop proposals and project budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
  • Manage technical staff, project financials, and subcontractors.
  • Perform quality assurance duties and project-related administrative tasks.
  • Evaluate and interpret data.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Drive business development efforts.
  • Interact directly with clients, contractors, laboratories, and regulators.
  • Mentor and assist in the professional development of staff, including completing annual performance reviews and assisting staff with establishing professional development goals.
