Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification.
  • A current Athletic Trainer license in the State of Alabama.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling needs and patient needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries according to professional standards of practice.
  • Coordinate patient care with healthcare professionals and educate patients and families on treatment plans and injury prevention.
  • Make independent decisions that positively impact patient health and quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with billing procedures when applicable.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach events.
  • Assist with special events and injury prevention education programs outside the clinic setting as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist or Medical Doctor when applicable.
  • Work flexible schedules, including varying shifts and occasional event support.

  • NASM-CES certification.
  • NASM-PES certification.
  • ISFTA-CPT certification.
  • NSCA-CSCS certification.
  • FMS certification.
  • SFMA certification.
  • A valid Alabama driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • New graduates are welcome, and mentoring will be provided.
