Requirements
  • A minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience preparing financial statements is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • Applicants must have valid United States work authorization.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis using Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Strong analytical and time-management skills are required.
  • The ability to create ad hoc financial models is required.
  • The ability to prepare detailed financial statements is required.
  • Experience working with databases and retrieving information from information systems is required.
  • A proven record of multitasking skills is required.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full-cycle month-end close process, including preparing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with delegated authority levels.
  • Execute monthly reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accurate financial information and proper internal controls in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and perform variance analysis of monthly operating results against the budget with management.
  • Monitor and enhance the monthly close process by analyzing regional close activities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in implementing operating procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure high-quality output and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all statutory reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, segregation of duties, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Analyze financial and operational information to determine the most efficient use of resources and capital.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and solutions for operational units and senior management.
  • Participate in initiatives and special projects as required by senior management and segment leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or commercial industrial industries is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with enterprise resource planning environments and database planning tools such as Syteline is desired.
  • Experience with Syteline is preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and time zones is desirable.
  • A certified public accountant credential is preferred but not required.
  • A master's degree in accounting or a Master of Business Administration is desired.
