Requirements
  • Three to five years of combined field, project management, or sales experience in the local structured cabling or technology market.
  • Extensive local business contacts and relationships.
  • A minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • High proficiency using a personal computer, including email, spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong general management and project management skills and experience.
  • Strong new business development skills.
  • Expert knowledge of project management and quality management processes.
Responsibilities
  • Organize and coordinate office operations and procedures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Maintain a database of potential local customers.
  • Build relationships with local manufacturers and distributors.
  • Onboard new business and grow the business year over year.
  • Lead, coach, and manage the project management team and technicians.
  • Manage warehouse inventory, tools, and fleet vehicles.
  • Assist with hiring field and office resources.
  • Train, coach, and conduct annual evaluations for employees.
  • Oversee the submission and approval of timesheets and expense reports.
  • Adhere to project safety requirements established by Wachter and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and ensure managers and technicians comply.
  • Manage and approve vendor invoices through the internal workflow process.
  • Work with other offices and the Pre-Construction/Solutions Design Team on project costing for bids and vendor agreement approvals.
  • Manage profit-and-loss responsibilities, including monthly forecasting, explaining financials in monthly meetings, meeting profit quotas, and assisting with accounts receivable collection duties as needed.
  • Assist with project management, service delivery, and quality control issues.

  • Knowledge of the local chamber of commerce and business associations.
  • Strong community connections.
