  • Ability to obtain and maintain Rossignol Ski Binding Certification and accurately adjust ski bindings in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Working knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Ability to accurately fit skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, poles, and other rental equipment based on guest measurements, ability level, and industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety when setting up and inspecting equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for ski and snowboard equipment.
  • Ability to learn rental software, equipment tracking systems, and point-of-sale applications.
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and coworkers.
  • Ability to educate guests on the proper use, care, and return procedures for rental equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move rental equipment throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying winter weather conditions.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak business periods.
  • Dependability, excellent attendance, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Mechanical experience and the ability to retain information.
  • Understanding of computer programs.
  • Basic mechanical and cash-handling experience.
  • Ability to work for extended periods while standing, bending, reaching, and speaking.
Responsibilities
  • Fit guests with properly sized ski boots, snowboard boots, helmets, skis, snowboards, poles, and other rental equipment.
  • Select, adjust, and inspect equipment according to guest height, weight, age, ability level, boot size, and skier or rider type while following Rossignol certification standards and company safety procedures.
  • Perform binding adjustments, equipment inspections, and routine maintenance to ensure all rental equipment meets manufacturer and industry safety standards.
  • Deliver properly fitted equipment efficiently while providing an exceptional guest experience.
  • Assist guests with equipment exchanges, adjustments, and troubleshooting throughout the day.
  • Explain the proper use, operation, and care of rental equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, snowshoes, helmets, goggles, and outerwear.
  • Clearly communicate rental procedures, equipment return locations, and end-of-day return expectations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and accountability for all rental equipment and assets.
  • Inspect returned equipment for damage and report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Assist with tuning, cleaning, waxing, organizing, and preparing equipment for daily operations.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations, storage areas, and guest service spaces.
  • Recommend appropriate equipment upgrades, High Performance and Demo packages, and rental accessories based on guest needs and current conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with Rental Cashiers, technicians, supervisors, and other resort departments to ensure efficient guest flow and minimize wait times.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and risk-management practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming, efficient, and safety-focused rental experience for every guest.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Operate a computer and other common office equipment.
  • Shovel snow and keep the sundeck clear of snow and ice.
  • Abide by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.

Crystal Mountain is a year-round mountain resort in Washington's Cascade Range and part of Alterra Mountain Company. It operates skiing and snowboarding terrain, lifts, lessons, rentals, dining and guest services during winter, with sightseeing and mountain activities extending the destination beyond the ski season.
