Requirements
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 plus years' experience in an electrical engineering role in industrial controls, including PLC programming
  • Experience programming PLC & HMI (Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Automation Direct, etc.)
  • Experience in either process or discrete manufacturing industries
  • Strong written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment
  • Skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to operate a computer and use spreadsheet, database, word processing
  • Experience with electrical schematics (SolidWorks Electrical preferred)
  • Familiarity with motion systems, PLC programming, robots, etc.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, install, and manage automation projects
  • Stay organized by creating schedules and budgets
  • Architect, write, and debug PLC code with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable
  • Generate HMI screens that allow complex automation projects to easily understand, operate, and troubleshoot
  • Design electrical systems compliant with NEC, NFPA, & UL508A regulations
  • Availability for travel, including overnight stays may be required, estimated at approximately 20%
