Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Applicants must pass company criminal and motor vehicle background checks, drug tests, and airport background check requirements to receive and maintain an airport security badge, and must be insurable under applicable company insurance policies.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment.
  • Applicants must have excellent vision and coordination to move or direct aircraft and visually inspect aircraft fuel, and must pass a color vision test for aviation fuel inspection.
  • Applicants must possess a valid state driver's license; a commercial driver's license may be required by local regulations and business needs.
  • Applicants must exercise good judgment and follow directions from supervisors or management.
  • Applicants must be able to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English for safety-sensitive tasks.
  • Applicants must communicate clearly in English in person, by telephone, radio, and in writing.
  • Applicants must perform simple arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions, angles, degrees, and time.
  • Applicants must physically enter, exit, and operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment, and safely perform functions such as fueling and de-icing from elevated heights.
  • Applicants must carry out multi-step instructions and handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
  • Applicants must work effectively with team members and guests.
  • Applicants must handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Applicants must use a computer and email, learn necessary company software, and pass computer-based training modules.
  • Applicants must successfully and timely complete the company's training programs.
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures, using accurate communication methods to accomplish operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to meet service needs, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power, potable water, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering delivery, and towing.
  • Prepare for arriving and departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, and immediately report observed safety concerns to stakeholders.
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment, including fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, and stair trucks.
  • Load and unload luggage and other cargo into and out of aircraft and between the private aviation terminal, guest vehicles, and other transportation modes.
  • Provide professional and friendly guest service while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Drive shuttle vehicles to provide safe, convenient, and courteous transportation for guests, luggage, and cargo.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations.
  • Handle fuel, including fuel quality control, fuel receipt, inventory, and accurate related documentation.
  • Understand, comply with, and enforce operational, safety, and guest service requirements.
  • Stop work when an unsafe condition or act could harm people, the environment, company or guest assets, or the company's reputation; report concerns to the appropriate manager and assist in addressing them.
  • Follow emergency response procedures during critical events.
  • Understand, comply with, and enforce physical, cyber, and data security protocols required by the company and airport.
  • Create accurate records of time worked and activities and services performed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three to six months of experience or training in aviation, customer service, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
