Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager by accompanying sub-contractors to attend site to evaluate new project opportunities.
  • Supervision of projects with safety and customer satisfaction as a priority.
  • Explain implications of changes to project scope and/or objectives to the client and to the project team.
  • Manage the subcontract team to prioritize tasks outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources and deadlines.
  • Create, or participate in the creation of project documentation.
  • Ensure all project documentation is in place and suitable prior to any start on site.
  • Develop a relationship with the client stakeholders, team members, or contract personnel to ensure the defined solution, established project time lines and budgets, are all as expected.
  • Work with the Project Manager/ Head of Projects to ensure changes are understood and approved.
  • Forward plan to recognize potential programme implications.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins and billing.
  • Determine the appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate completion of works to enable invoicing.
  • The Project Supervisor is to be responsible for the safe running of their own projects and assist in the completion of a Construction Phase Plan as part of their project control methodology.
  • Ensure that each project runs in conjunction with the Construction Phase Plan and Risk Assessments/ Method Statements, and that each person involved in the project is proven to have the required skills.
  • Manage scope creep through client change orders, internal change orders, phased delivery or other methods to ensure projects deliver on time line, scope, budget and strategy expectations.
  • Ensure project meets internal and client expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery time lines.
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on specific client engagements. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and time line.
  • Where project control is in jeopardy, assist the Project Manager /Head of Projects in creating contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members and implement a revised project schedule, scope or budget in a timely manner.
  • Management of the on site Health & Safety file including production of daily site diaries, documentation project updates, permits, induction records, safety documentation, and action trackers.
