Requirements
  • At least 3 years of warehouse experience.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to perform the job duties of all departmental positions.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform computer tasks using Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Knowledge and experience in lean principles and process-flow layout in warehouses.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and solve problems.
  • Ability to manage schedules, prioritize work, and multitask.
  • Ability to provide customer service and work productively with coworkers and clients.
  • If required to make deliveries, a valid driver's license is required.
  • If required to make deliveries, the candidate must be at least 21 years old.
  • If required to make deliveries, the candidate must pass pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record reviews.
  • If required to make deliveries, the candidate must obtain verification of a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
  • If required to make deliveries, the candidate must not have had a driver's license suspended for a traffic accident or violation within the past 3 years.
  • If required to make deliveries, the candidate must not have had any at-fault accidents within the past 3 years.
Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture focused on employee safety and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures and environmental health and safety rules, and immediately address safety concerns.
  • Provide leadership and direct supervision to warehouse employees to achieve high levels of accuracy and productivity.
  • Participate in all aspects of hiring new employees.
  • Train employees and coordinate daily activities related to receiving, shipping, picking, and packing inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of material-handling equipment and maintain warehouse security.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage.
  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Use workforce management system metrics, reporting, and other tools to increase warehouse productivity.
  • Evaluate policies and procedures, improve efficiency, and recommend improvements.
  • Make deliveries to branches or customers as required.
  • Perform counter sales and customer support or other branch functions when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience is preferred.
  • Certification to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment is preferred.
