Constance Baroudel appointed Group Chief Executive of Spectris

Constance Baroudel appointed Group Chief Executive of Spectris. 28 May 2026 Spectris Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Constance Baroudel as Group Chief Executive. Constance is currently Sector Chief Executive, Environmental and Analysis at Halma plc, the FTSE-100 industrial technology group, and also serves as Halma's Chief Sustainability Officer. She will join Spectris later in the year and take over from Andrew Williams who has been interim CEO since the completion of Spectris' acquisition by KKR in December 2025. Andrew will continue in his role as Chairman. Constance's appointment marks another important step in the Group's transformation. Earlier this month Spectris announced strong first quarter results, with sales and EBITDA up versus the same period last year. The Group has also unveiled a new broad-based ownership programme giving all employees a stake in future growth. Andrew Williams said: "As we look to accelerate our transformation and growth, I am delighted that we have secured someone with Constance's combination of industrial technology experience, commercial discipline and strategic vision to lead the Group. Her track record of building high-performing teams, driving innovation and delivering sustainable growth will be invaluable for Spectris ." Constance Baroudel said: "I am excited to be joining Spectris at such an exciting stage in its transformation. I have long admired the Group's specialist businesses, technical expertise and the role its technologies play in critical end markets. I look forward to working with teams around the world to build on that foundation, accelerate growth and continue supporting customers who are helping to make the world cleaner, healthier and more productive." Constance brings an impressive track record in industrial technology, innovation and growth. In her time at Halma, she has delivered exceptional organic growth with a strategic focus on talent and innovation, whilst also leading and completing over 20 M&A transactions. This experience will be central to supporting Spectris' ambitious growth plans. She is also a non-executive director of the FTSE-100 engineering company Spirax-Sarco plc, and her breadth of sector experience and knowledge of large, global organisations will bring valuable perspective across Spectris' end markets. Prior to joining Halma, Constance previously held a range of executive positions at First Group, De La Rue and Strategic Decisions Group. She holds an MSc in International Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics, an MSc in Corporate Finance & Strategy and a BA in International Relations, both from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.

0apt Targets Spectris plc in Latest Ransomware Attack

0apt targets Spectris plc in latest ransomware attack. February 5, 2026 Summary. On February 4, 2026, the ransomware group 0apt publicly announced a cyberattack against Spectris plc (spectris.com), a leading UK-based precision instrumentation and materials analysis company. The group issued a threat to release sensitive data if negotiations are not initiated. Incident Report. | Field | Details | | Target | Spectris plc | | Domain | spectris.com | | Country | UK | | Attacking Group | 0apt | | Date Reported | February 4, 2026 | | Threat Actor Statement"The full leak will be published unless we receive contact from the company for negotiation." | Recommended security actions. Ransomware attacks are increasingly targeting both enterprise and mid-sized organizations across all sectors. The following steps are critical to reduce impact and prevent future incidents: * Monitor continuously: Use DeXpose's dark web and infostealer monitoring platform to detect breached credentials, leaked databases, and threat actor chatter in near real-time - before damage spreads internally. * Conduct a compromise assessment: Immediately initiate a full incident review to determine how attackers infiltrated your network, what data may have been exfiltrated, and whether any persistence mechanisms remain active. * Validate your backups: Ensure that your backups are current, encrypted, and stored offline. Utilize immutable backup solutions to defend against ransomware encryption and deletion attempts. * Apply threat intelligence: Integrate external threat feeds, including DeXpose-provided indicators of compromise (IOCs), into your SIEM or XDR platforms for real-time alerting and correlation. * Harden employee defenses: Run phishing simulations and enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) across all access points. Attackers often exploit weak or reused credentials sourced from the dark web. * Engage professional response teams: Involve cybersecurity incident response experts, threat analysts, and legal counsel before initiating any dialogue with ransomware groups or ransom brokers. How DeXpose helps you stay ahead. At DeXpose, we specialize in early detection and proactive defense. Our hybrid threat intelligence solution combines automated deep/dark web crawling, Telegram and forum monitoring, and real analyst verification to deliver: * Continuous scanning of ransomware group leak sites, stolen credential markets, and malware log dumps * Timely alerts for breaches linked to your domains, email addresses, and key personnel * Intelligence correlation that connects leaked credentials to infostealer malware infections, often weeks before a public ransom demand * Real-time visibility into supply chain and third-party exposures through passive surveillance of dark web channels Don't wait for public disclosure or ransom notices - gain visibility into your cyber exposure now. * Scan your domain for data breaches: Free Dark Web Report * Check employee or partner email exposure: Email Data Breach Scan Disclaimer.
