Requirements
  • Active Workday Certification is required.
  • Workday HCM and Compensation Lead experience is required.
  • Government industry experience is required.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM, Compensation, business processes, security, and testing is required.
  • Ability to lead client-facing conversations and guide stakeholders through complex design decisions is required.
  • Experience supporting Workday implementations, deployments, or optimization efforts is required.
  • Strong understanding of how HCM and Compensation decisions impact the broader Workday ecosystem is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and client service is required.
  • Strong consulting presence with the ability to communicate clearly across project teams, client stakeholders, and leadership is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment is required.
  • Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations is required.
  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Workday HCM and Compensation workstreams across client engagements.
  • Facilitate client discovery, design, configuration, prototype, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Translate client business requirements into scalable Workday HCM and Compensation solutions.
  • Advise clients on Workday best practices, configuration options, business process design, security considerations, and downstream impacts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including integrations, reporting, data conversion, change management, and project leadership.
  • Support testing activities, issue resolution, client readiness, and go-live preparation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, helping guide decision-making and solution adoption.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and design considerations that may impact project success.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, delivery quality, and continuous improvement across Avaap’s Workday practice.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Compensation experience is preferred but not required.
  • Learning experience is preferred but not required.
