Salary Range: 100000 to 130000 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-year-salary)
The Account Director will serve as the primary client contact and Account leader for multiple agency pieces of business and will be responsible for oversight and growth of multiple accounts. This individual will work with clients to define and achieve their goals, partnering closely with agency cross functional groups to provide thoughtful solutions with measurable results. As a people manager, this individual is accountable for professional development of their team members, hiring and growing their team to support their accounts, team administrative duties, and aligning the appropriate cross-functional internal teams to deliver on client needs.
The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced agency environment, be able to switch gears comfortably in response to changing business dynamics or client priorities, and help teams balance multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Directly oversees at least $3.5MM in agency revenue and at least 2 client pieces of business
- Develops a command of assigned clients’ business dynamics, category, competitive set and customer base - leverages that business understanding to build partnerships with, bring thought-leadership to, and deliver strategically-relevant solutions for HLK clients
- Develops a deep understanding of agency capabilities and strengths that can be leveraged to achieve client goals; recognizes opportunities and brings them forth to mutually benefit client and agency growth
- Recognizes opportunities and sells HLK capabilities to help grow the business
- Delivers a consistently high level of client satisfaction and work quality across all assigned accounts
- Manages growth, profitability and, when necessary, risk mitigation across accounts - is responsible for meeting or exceeding annual goals & budgets on each account
- Directly manages, mentors and coaches at least one direct report, and is responsible for their professional development, HLK experience, ongoing coaching and reviews

Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in an account management role, preferably at an agency
- Proven ability to foster relationships with senior-level clients, Directors, VPs and C-level executives
- Proven ability to grow and manage internal teams, both within the account management department and across other functional departments
- Track record of delivering effective or award-winning marketing solutions that helped drive marketing results
- Excellent financial management and negotiation skills - including an ability to manage revenue, profitability and expenses
- Exceptional communication skills, including small-group and large-group presentations
- Understanding of and ability to tie creative solutions to marketing metrics
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Power user of video conferencing, presentation software and standard business software with superior organizational skills
