Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the role of Assistant Superintendent.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification is required.
  • Strong time management skills and high attention to detail are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is required.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam is required.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project scheduling software is required.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various locations are required.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse, multidisciplinary groups is required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee specific phases of a construction project.
  • Lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on site.
  • Ensure project timelines are met, the jobsite remains orderly, and safety regulations are followed.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and equipment and materials are available on site when required to maintain the project schedule.
  • Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals and resolve conflicts.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating through project forepersons to deliver instructions and assignments.
  • Assist in developing the project schedule and plan for completion of an assigned project.
  • Create schedules under the direction of the Project Superintendent.
  • Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness, prepare and provide progress reports, and recommend necessary modifications.
  • Ensure contract documents and code requirements are followed.
  • Complete daily reports and ensure subcontractors complete daily reports.
  • Perform regular jobsite safety inspections and apply construction safety standards.
  • Communicate with clients, architects/engineers, and subcontractors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, or commercial projects is preferred.
