  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, integration, design, and/or testing experience, preferably with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) in Printed Circuit Board assembly (PCBA) or wire harnesses
  • Hands-on confidence in troubleshooting, repair, setup, and operating complex avionics products
  • Understanding and familiarity with manufacturing, processing, and materials knowledge within a safety-critical environment
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, such as NX and Teamcenter
  • Experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001 / AS9100
  • Electro-mechanical assembly and prototype development experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for building, integrating, testing, diagnostics, inspecting, and maintaining Reliable designed electrical or avionics assemblies, harnessing, interconnects, and other commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Collaborate with the avionics and mechanical design teams, technicians, and aircraft mechanics to increase the velocity of product development
  • Represent the production organization in all design reviews and partner with responsible engineers to evaluate designs for cost, producibility, inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements
  • Assure product and process quality by testing finished-product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and developing manufacturing processes
  • Improve integration and manufacturing processes, including work instruction development
  • Resolve product non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement root-cause corrective actions
